 To display the star effect, star sapphires are usually cut into cabochon shapes (smooth, rounded, non-faceted) rather than faceted. The cabochon cut helps enhance and maximize the visibility of the star.

7. Market and Value:

The value of star sapphires depends on factors such as color, clarity, the intensity of the star effect, and size. Well-defined, sharp stars with a deep, rich color are the most valuable.
